SINGAPOREAN DUO FORMALLY CHARGED FOR HENRY ASSAULT
MANCHESTER – The Singaporean duo involved in the assault on Arsenal striker Thierry Henry have been formally charged by the police.
In a statement, the police said that investigations have been completed and that the evidence was compelling enough to warrant formal charges.
The duo have been named as G. Loo and A. Chu, both 21. Upon hearing about the charges, they reportedly expressed their disappointment at the decision. Their passports have been impounded by the Home Office, however their movements have not been restricted.
In an unprecedented move, Manchester United have offered the services of their legal team to the Singaporean duo. The legal team will meet with the accused men and their lawyer tomorrow to review the case.
